TECHNALIGN,
INC. RELEASES FRONTIER ASPEN FOR USE WITH PII AND PIII SYSTEMS - Low cost operating system option Delta,
CO, July 27, 2006: Technalign, Inc. has announced it is releasing a low-cost
system for those individuals and companies that still have older hardware.
The product has been named Frontier ASPEN powered by MEPIS Linux. Frontier
ASPEN is being released immediately and is in many partners hands nationwide.
ASPEN is packaged in a CD jewel case and is delivered on a single CD.
All copyright information as well as a small quick start guide is included
with the offering. Technalign announced that they would not provide the
product directly to consumers, as with the Frontier OEM, and ASPEN as
well as the OEM is missing from the TaFusion commerce site. A consumer
or business may purchase the ASPEN product from Technalign’s nationwide
network of partners only. The company felt the product would require some
support and walk-troughs from its partners. Dianne Ursini, CEO of Technalign, Inc. stated, “We
feel that consumers having run Windows operating systems and applications
since 95 may need more assistance than just attempting to load a new operating
system on their computer. ASPEN requires more memory also, and partners
would have the ability to upgrade the systems when required.” ASPEN was released
because partners have asked for a new version to replace the previous
Version XI Lite On The Go. Partners wanted the new Frontier application
because it is faster and more powerful than Version XI. Although Version
XI has a long life cycle, they felt that a replacement was necessary at
a low cost. Warren Woodford, CEO of MEPIS, LLC, stated, “Technalign’s
partner network required Frontier ASPEN to replace Version XI Lite. By
providing the proper tools to the partner network, we feel they have more
ammunition in their arsenal to compete with Microsoft.” Frontier ASPEN is currently available from Technalign’s
partner network nationwide. Product information may be found on the TaFusion
website. About Technalign About MEPIS Copyright
